Language centre in Malaysia serve an important role in the development and implementation of language policy and in supporting language teachers. The term language centre refers to the areas of the brain that perform a specific function for speech processing and production. Language is a fundamental system that enables humans to solve difficult problems and engage in novel forms of social interaction. Individuals can use language to assign symbols (e.g., words or signs) to specific concepts and display them through sentences and phrases that adhere to grammatical rules. Furthermore, speech is the mechanism by which language is expressed orally.

Information is exchanged in a larger system that includes linguistic regions. These regions are linked by white matter fibre tracts, which allow information to be transmitted between them. After suggesting that it is possible to connect multiple language centres, white matter fibre bunches were recognized as important for language production.
